History of EVG

Founded with a passion for animal welfare, EVG emerged from a realisation that Glasgow’s existing emergency vet services fell short of meeting the evolving needs of our beloved pets.

Driven by a vision to revolutionise the status quo, we embarked on a journey to redefine emergency care. Our ethos revolves around kindness – to our patients, their devoted owners and the veterinary community we collaborate with.

Established in 2023 by the dynamic duo, Dr Chris and Lee-Ann Parratt RVN, at EVG, compassion isn’t just a principle; it’s our way of life. We really care!

Dr Chris, a 2003 graduate from the University of Bristol, brings a wealth of experience in veterinary emergency care. With additional expertise in veterinary cardiology and ultrasound, he holds a unique distinction in Europe as the sole individual Board Certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Canine and Feline Practice (https://abvp.com/animal-owners/). Additionally, Dr Chris is a distinguished Founding Fellow of the ABVP Emergency Practice Fellowship, underscoring his unwavering commitment to the most critically ill pets (Fellowships – American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (abvp.com)).

Leading a team of skilled veterinary surgeons, nurses and support staff, Dr Chris ensures that EVG delivers expert and compassionate care, precisely when it’s needed most.

We invest heavily in staff training and specialist equipment, and we have some of the most advanced medications and treatments available at our disposal.

Whilst we mainly deal with sick and injured cats and dogs, animals of all shapes and sizes come to our clinic. No matter what, we always do our best to help out.

We also provide a friendly, independent and family-run clinical support service for veterinary practices throughout Scotland.

Corporate & Social Responsiblity

At EVG, we care for more than furry friends. We also help to care for their human owners!

We work with the SSPCA, sponsor grassroot football teams and have funded health & safety projects within the local area.
