Cats and dogs have a tendency for getting into mischief, and sometimes they ingest things they shouldn’t.
Fortunately, with our endoscopy services, we can often retrieve these foreign objects without the need for major or invasive surgery. From balls to bones, our skilled team has seen it all.
Endoscopy is a very important diagnostic tool in discovering what could be wrong with your pet. It is a minimally invasive procedure that typically allows your pet to return home the same day under careful supervision. Our veterinary team will be with you every step of the way, ensuring your pet receives the best care possible.
Our endoscopy service provides valuable insights into the internal organs of your pet. This procedure allows for visual examination of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory system and other internal structures, enabling our team to diagnose a myriad of conditions ranging from gastrointestinal disorders to respiratory issues.
It is a tiny camera on a flexible tube that can be gently guided through your pet’s body until we find what could be causing the issue, without having to make big incisions.
During this procedure we will be looking for any abnormalities such as swelling, inflammation and even foreign bodies – the off-menu items that many of our pets love to dine on for some reason.
We may need to perform an endoscopy on your pet if they present with persistent vomiting or digestive issues. If your pet is experiencing frequent vomiting, unexplained weight loss or ongoing digestive problems, an endoscopy can help us examine the inside of the stomach and intestines.
If your pet is experiencing respiratory problems such as chronic coughing, difficulty breathing or persistent nasal discharge, an endoscopy allows our vets to visualise the airways and lungs, helping to identify conditions such as infections, obstructions or even tumours affecting the respiratory system.
